Ilan Shamir is a keynote presenter, author, consultant and trainer. Your True Nature, Inc. founded in Portland, Oregon in 1980 and now headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado was established to empower individuals, organizations and events to build and sustain powerful momentum and celebrate the beauty of human nature. Ilan was part of the team for 7UP during the highly successful UNCOLA campaign of the early 1970s, and continues to combine the power of business with the dynamics of fun and creativity.

Author of A Thousand Things Went Right Today!, Advice from a Tree and creator of more than thirty unique products, Your True Nature has a strong commitment to sustainability, demonstrated by the planting of over 50,000 tree to replenish 100% of the paper used by the business. In conjunction with the non profit organization Trees Water & People, Ilan has developed the 100% Replanted program to help individuals and organizations replant trees for paper used.

For his innovative approach to business and life he has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, John Naisbit, Reinventing the Corporation, National Public Radio's All Things Considered, Good Housekeeping, Money Magazine, London Times, Washington Post, Tokyo Journal and Success Magazine.

As founder of The Great Northwestern Greeting Seed Company in 1980, he introduced a unique line of gift-greeting cards with seeds, tea, potpourri, and spices inside each card. Over 15 million cards have been sold internationally.

Ilan has led more than 700 tree plantings and ceremonies all over the world, helping people celebrate the beauty of nature and human nature. He has apprenticed with Taos drummaker, Red Shirt Reyna and has learned the traditions of the Huichol Indians in remote Sierra Madre villages. Ilan has been an expedition guide and photographer for Wilderness Travel, Inc. and has traveled the world on many amazing adventures.
