Teacher
Curriculum

With input and contributions from founding inspiration and Illinois teacher, Jayne Lammers, and curriculum developer, Michele Meilo, the Advice from Nature Curriculum was launched. We received feedback and submission from educators from across the country. “The Advice provides a deeper understanding of themselves and nature. It connects to human behavior and is easy to relate to. Advice provides interaction between people and nature and provides meaning in students lives. Advice offers inspiration and guidance to student positive behavior and seeing the world from a different perspective.” This is exactly what our company is all about; it inspires us to continue to improve and expand the Advice from Nature Curriculum.
Currently, Cheri Isgreen, our curriculum specialist is revising the curriculum to make it easier to use. She is developing standards-based, research based, integrated, K12 master plans, organized around key Your True Nature disciplines, including writing, environmental studies, and character education. The master plans can be modified to reach any K12 readiness level. They are written for a busy teacher, (with a packed school day and multiple expectations to raise student achievement), to seamlessly use to meet and integrate standards into core disciplines. Lessons in this curriculum are based on 21st Century research with strategies to ensure collaboration and active engagement of all students.
In today's era of strained school financing and budget cuts, the Advice from Nature Curriculum provides value-added integrated content in disciplines that are being slashed: the arts, movement, elementary science and social studies. Advice from Nature Curriculum provides opportunities for children to imagine, wonder, explore. It guides teachers in best practices for student achievement.
We are pleased to offer three new standards based K12 Master Plans. In addition to the curriculum, we are also happy to support your classroom efforts by sending four free Advice posters and 33 free unlaminated Advice bookmarks for use with the downloadable Advice curriculum guide. We do ask that these free materials be used in the classroom or in some other appropriate non-profit way.
