The hibiscus flower is the State flower of Hawaii, and also the national flower of South Korea and Malaysia. Though beautiful to look at, it also offers medicinal benefits when consumed. Hibiscus is high in Vitamin C and other minerals; and is used as a diuretic. Tangy and citrusy, it make for a killer iced tea.

Advice from the 'I'iwi

Often referred to as the Hawaiian Honeycreeper, the I'iwi is a small flashy bird found in Hawaii. The beauty in this tiny flyer comes from its bright red body, accented by black wings and a black tail. Pronounced as ee-EE-vee, this bird mainly feeds on the nectar from flowers as it hovers in the air (much like hummingbirds).

  • Be a nectar collector
  • Show your true colors
  • Let your voice be heard
  • Sip the sweet moments
  • Wing it when you need to
  • Stay ahead of the curve
  • Nothing wrong with being a strange bird!
