your true nature collaborates with two organizations to plant your tree.

Sustainable Harvest International

Located in Maine USA, Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) is an audited 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ensuring the quality of their trees and planting. Each tree is hand planted with care by farmers in different communities in Central America. Their mission is to preserve the environment by partnering with families to improve well-being through sustainable farming. With the mass amount of deforestation occurring due to slash and burn agriculture practices, SHI educates farmers on better farming techniques to create a better future for the land and forests. As of today, SHI has planted 4 million trees, restoring 16,000 acres of forest.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Once you have purchased a tree to plant, it may be a few months or more before your tree can grow its roots in its new home. It depends on which month the purchase has been made, optimal planting conditions, where the trees are being planted and available projects. Each tree is hand planted with care by members of surrounding communities. Sometimes whole families work together to make your tree at home. Grass is cleared away to give your tree “breathing room”, then earth is patted down around the base to give it a sturdy foundation. It is given a good drink of water to settle the soil around the roots and voila! You’ve helped plant a tree and helped the earth. Each tree will take a year or so to “settle in” before it starts to put on amazing growth. Imagine your tree or trees growing in the warm sun, nurtured by rain and providing shade, oxygen, fruit, color, and homes for animals, to make this a better world for all of us. And to know that your special tree is growing next to someone else’s special tree and together a forest is being created. We treat each tree with care. It is our special gift to you and the Earth.
